More than anything as Christians, we should want to be like our Savior and Master, the Lord Jesus Christ. His words should be our words, His thoughts our thoughts, His theology our theology. It’s 5:00 am. I’m up. No need for an alarm – These days I wake up every morning at this time. I’m not really a morning person, though. I was looking with a buddy at some of the Scriptures that pertain to our marriages.
I was thinking about the Sovereignty of God in our marriage. Here are some of my thoughts.
1. He designed marriage in its perfect pristine state in unity between the man and woman and without shame. (Genesis 2:24, 25.) Marriage is a good thing, a holy union, a blessing to husband / wife and a picture of the unity between the God-head.

Last Sunday (as many of you know) I preached on the fact that all Christians should look forward to going to heaven since heaven, is going to be a place of extreme beauty, happiness and fulfillment. Having established in our last blog that women-as–pastors, elders and teachers of men is serious sin, a denial of male headship, spiritual leadership, and a hindrance to the gospel; I ended (that blog) by stating that we (as Christians) should not be in fellowship with women holding these positions, but rather we should be calling them to repentance and distancing ourselves from their ministries (rather than supporting or working with them). Just this week, I met with a man who thinks this particular issue of women in the office of pastor, elder or teacher of men is not that “big of a deal”. Over time, many have been confused over the issue of prayer. Hopefully this outline will help.
What Prayer Is:
A relationship is a two-way street (of communication), and so is our relationship with GOD. He communicates with us through His word, and we communicate with Him through PRAYER. So PRAYER is our way of communicating with God.

Though the Scripture is pretty clear that the church is God's foundational institution--there are still many who insist on believing that such a role has been given to the family. And though it is not my intention to sling mud at those who make such claims, the following is important to consider with an objective mind and open bibles:
